Abstract: Rahnella aquatilis JZ-GX1 and its excellent mutant strains are efficient phytate-degrading bacteria. In this study, R. aquatilis JZ-GX1 and its excellent mutant strains JZ-GX1-2 and JZ-GX1-10 were inoculated on masson pine seedlings to study their growth promotion effects. Photosynthetic parameters and chlorophylls content were determined respectively, 60, 120 and 180 days after inoculation. Seedling height and ground diameter of masson pine seedling were measured on the 180th days after inoculation. Results showed that compared to CK, JZ-GX1 and JZ-GX1-2 and JZ-GX1-10 had a significant promoting effect on photosynthetic parameters(Pn, ФPSⅡ), chlorophyll content, and growth of masson pine seedlings, in which the effect of mutant strain JZ-GX1-2 was the best, followed by mutagenesis strain JZ-GX-10 and wild screening strain JZ-GX1. In present study, the strain JZ-GX1 and its mutagenesis strains JZ-GX1-2 and JZ-GX1-10 all showed better growth promotion effect than that of the control, they could be used for further field trial and field afforestation.
