A colorimetric method of new miked indicator with a wide range and clear changes of colour for pH values of plant sap was studied and compared with the electrometric method. Using leaf samples from various trees of several ranges in pH. The results obtained from the two methods were almost the same and their maximum variation was less than 0.3 pH unit. The advantages of this method are rapidity, simplicity (little apparatus) and inexpensiveness.
