Abstract

This paper purposely studies effects of accelerated-aging test on propel ties of phenolic-bonded plywood 9 layers (18mm) and 3 layers of plywood were used in experiments. As a result of accelerated-aging tests, various proper-ties of phenolic-bonded plywood decreased obviously, While the water-absorb-ing ratio and percent thickness swelling of plywood increased. The effect of accelerated-aging tests on MOE of 9-layer phywood is larger than that on MOR. The D-5, ASTM and V100 of accelerated-aging test have same severe exposure condition, Violent degree of sample treatment of I-degree plywood shown in the China plywood standard is similar to the six-cycle accelerated-aging test of ASTM.
