Abstract

Results were reported of evolution relationship among 8 genera of Pinaceae through cluster analysis of their karyotypes. Comparisons were made between results of this study and those of morphology, biochemistry and geography distribution studies. It was concluded that there was probably " inverse" besides main trend in the evolution of Pinaceae.It was argued that the chromsome evolution relationships among the genera studied were: Pimis →Picea →Cedrus→Tsuga →Abies→Keteleeria→Larix→Pseudotsuga.
