Abstract: Taking the 2105A model diesel engine as an example, this paper investigates the vibration signal of running engine surface caused by the different cylinder clearance. From the differences of the vibration acceleration signal power spectrum, the cylinder clearance can be diagnosed, so that whether the engine may be repaired or not can be determined.
