Abstract: Tests of the biological activities of six kinds of insect growth regulators (IGRs) to the adult Batocera horsfieldi and its progenyeggs were carried out in the laboratory. The number of eggs laid per female among all treatments were reduced except chlorfluazuron treatment. Triflumuron had the highest inhibiting effect on the number of eggs laid per female. The egg production laid per female of triflumuron treatment decreased by 61.0% in comparison with that of control treatment. After adults ingested diflubenzuron, the dates when egg production was 50% and 86% respectively, were obviously postponed. Diflubenzuron, flufenoxuron, triflumuron, and chlorfluazuron had obviously inhibiting effects on the egg production per female and the hatching of progenyeggs. Among six kinds of IGRs, diflubenzuron and flufenoxuron were the most effective, the integrated inhibition rates (IIR) were 87.0 % and 81.7%, respectively. Triflumuron and chlorfluazuron had also a high activity, the IIR was 75.7% and 65.3%, respectively. By comparison, buprofezin and RH5849 had a lower activity, the IIR was 22.5% and 31.5%, respectively.
