Abstract

The biomass and soil fertility of different patterns of the mixed stands of Michelia fujiansis and Chinese fir at the fifth year were investigated  The results showed that the biomass of intercropping was higher (8548 t/hm2),the biomass of arbor was also higher (7848 t/hm2) Chinese fir only had lowest biomass of stand and arbor (5204 t/hm2 and 4302 t/hm2) Reunification and soil structures of the intercorpping presented better characters, soil bulk density decreased The porosity and the air flowing increased by 145% and 36% The content of soil nutrients, organic matter, N,P and K rised obviously
