According to the characteristics and actualities of ecological public welfare forest and the actual conditions in the south of China, the common management pattern and the special management pattern of ecological public welfare forest were described. The restoration and reconstruction pattern of subtropical evergreen broad leaved forest and zonal vegetation in the key ecozone and the transformation pattern of coniferous and broad-leaved mixed forest in the general ecozone with muti-form were discussed in detail. The authors also pointed out, the ecological transformation and utilization was prerequisite, ecological public welfare forest should be transformed as orientation with object of forest multiple benefit utilization in order to establish the foundation of being sustainably managed.
