Abstract: The shielding permanence of electromagnetic shielding plywood laminated with conductive sheets was studied by measuring and comparing the shear strength and shielding properties in every impregnating stages referring to the shear strength national standards. The results showed that the shear strength of electromagnetic shielding plywood could satisfy the national standards after soaking 3 hours, but the shear strength decreased drastically, lower than the national standards after soaking over 6 hours. However, after soaking 9 hours, the average shielding effectiveness of plywood was above 35 dB, the decreased average shielding effectiveness value was from 2.54 to 9.25 dB, which showed that under the circumstance of strength loss of plywood, the decrease of shielding effectiveness was not obvious, and thus it would still keep certain shielding effect.
