Abstract: The original gum, which is a natural polymer component of polyisoprene. It has good adhesion properties. Modified rosin is used to reduce it’s cost and increase it’s quickdrying. The nitric acid, pentaerythritol, butyl acrylate, wood oil and etc. were used to modify rosin. Then add emulsifier to make rosin dispersion oxidized by nitric acid. At last through the thermal analysis , IR, the stretch performance test, the quickdrying test and so on. The results showed that the modified rosin dispersion had better performances than market modified rosin. It could partly take place of the original gum, but not affected the adhesion properties, so reduce costs and increase quickdrying, achieve the purposes of the modification.
