Performance analysis on the reformation of collective forest rights

Abstract: Based on the investigation of willingness of farmer on Wongan county in Guizhou province, through the method of Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA), the satisfaction degree of every correlative behalf were discussed from different point in this paper. The key of the reformation of collective forest rights was pushing up to establish the system of management by family. Through the investigation in Wongan by participatory rural appraisal method, this paper analyzed the performance of reformation of collective forest rights, from the points of the farmer whether had the decision rights of management, the farmer’s attitude to the reformation, the inputs in the management of forest, and the demand of circulation of the forest land, etc. The results showed that through the reformation of collective forest rights, farmers got higher income and more labor hours were invested. Disputes of forest rights solved at the same time. However, farmers had some differences in the forest management and the forest land circulation, because of their differences in age, education and scale. In a short time, the increase of income was not so obviously, but to aspects liked largescale management, element marketing, circulation regulation and ecosystem compensation, more research work is needed.
