Abstract: A field experiment was conducted to explore better coverage in seedling emergence of Larix olgensis in the Jilin province, five kinds of coverage method were designed in field experiment. Results showed that there were significant different in L.olgensis seedling emergence and soil evaporation in different kinds of coverage, the seedling emergence rate varied from the highest to the lowest was sawdust, turf soil, smash of straw, coal cinder and sand successively. The soil evaporation from the highest to the least was turf soil, coal cinder, CK, sand, sawdust and smash of straw successively. The temperature of soil surface is influenced significantly by different coverage.
