Abstract: Bamboo activated carbon(AC)supported TiO2 photocatalyst was prepared by solgel method. The TiO2/AC was characterized by N2 adsorption isotherm, scanning electron microscopy, Xray diffraction, TGDSC, FTIR and etc.. The results showed that the specific surface area and pore volume of AC were reduced from 1 181.9 m2/g and 0.670 cm3/g to 979.0 m2/g and 0.611 cm3/g, respectively after modification. TiO2 was loaded on AC by chemical bond and combined firmly. The average particle diameter of TiO2/AC was 18.4 nm and its crystal form was similar to anatase.
