Abstract: This study on genotype×environment interaction focuses on four characters, i. e. tree height, DBH,. crown width and survival rate of fifty half-sib families from open pollination progeny testing plantations of Masson pine (Pinus massoniana) superior trees located in three or four places in Fujian Province. Along with the analysis of variance (ANOVA) , principal components analysis (PCA) , linear regression (LR) , the additive main effects and multiplication interaction (AMMI) model were applied to reveal the magnitude of, family × location interaction variates and their significant levels and the contribution of each family to the interaction variates. The difference of the additive main effects and multiplication interaction of the 50 families in an individual character was directly described with biplot of AMMI model, which is beneficial for the spread of Masson pine superior families.
