Abstract: Based on the field investigation and soil analysis, effects of interplantion on soil physical and chemical properties and growth of Camellia oleifera young forest were studied. The main research results are as follows: by interplantation with peanut and sweet potato in C.oleifera young forest, the content of soil water was decreased to some extent, but the content of soil nutrient were all better than that of the control groups, and the mumber of microbe were significantly higher than that of the control groups. At the same time, interplantation has increased the length of fresh treetop, tree height and economic income. So, it is effective to improve soil physical and chemical properties and increase the growth by interplantation in C. oleifera young forest.
