Abstract: In this paper the scale insects of Banbusaspis which feed on the bamboos in China are studied. Among them, 14 species were already recorded. Ey new combination, there are 38 species that belong to this genus (including one variety). In addition , 5 new species are described. They are Bambusaspis nanlinnatalis sp. nov. (fig. A-J) , Bambusaspis huangshanensis sp. nov. (fig. A-J) , Bambusaspis rufa sp. nov. (fig. A-I), Bambusaspis xinanensis sp. nov. (fig. A-K), Bambusaspis ne-matosphaerica sp. nov. (fig. A-K). Up to now, there are 43 species of the genus bambusaspis in China. All specimens are kept in the Forestry Bureau of Huangshan City, Anhui Province.1. Bambusaspis nanlinnatalis sp. nov. (fig. A-J)This new species is closely related to Bambusaspis sasas (Russell) but different from it in having fairly numerous large 8-shaped pores in median area dorsally (usually 60-250), in having 38~55 instead of 9-16 quinquelocular pores in each spriacular band, end 7-1.1 instead of 68-97 multi-loculer pores. Host: Living on the upper surface of leaves of Indocalamus sp. , Holotype ? , paratypes 20 ??, V. 1986. collected by Zhang Xuefan from Shexian County, Anhui.2. Bambusaspis huangshanensia sp. nov. (fig. A-Ⅰ)This new species resembles Bambusaspis rufa sp. nov. , but ventral submarginal 8-shaped pores arranged in a band of 3-5 pores wide instead of a single row; and marginal 8-shaped pores arranged closer than latter.Host: Living on the lower surface of leaves of Indocalamus sp. , Holotype ? , paratypes 8 ?? , Ⅵ. 1986, collected by Zhang Xuefan from Shexian County, Anhui province.3. Bambusaspis rufa sp. nov. (fig. A-Ⅰ)The new species somewhat resembles Bambusaspis sbiectus (Russell) but differs from latter in having abdominal multilocular pores. Host: Living on the upper surface of leaves of Indocalamus sp. , Holotype ? paratype ?. V. 1987. collected by Zheng Xuefan from Jinyun, Zhejiang..
