28 10bp random primers are selected for random amplification in 5 Dianthus chinensis L.,2 Dianthus caryophyllus L.,8 standard cut flowers and 17 spray cut flowers of D.caryophyllus L.242 polymorphism bands are acquired.The result of cluster analysis(the Single method) indicates that the RAPD technique can distinguish the relationship between species well.It can divide 32 samples into two groups:D.chinensis L.and D.caryophyllus L.,it also can differentiate the wild and culture species of D.chinensis L.,and the pot and cut flowers of D.caryophyllus L.Moreover,it also can divide the standard and spray cut flowers of D.caryophyllus L.
