Heat Conduction in FPU Chains

Abstract: Heat conduction in a low dimensional system is anomalous and dose not obey Fourier law. The thermal conductivity of the FPU chains was numerically calculated by the molecular dynamics method. It was found that the temperature gradient on the chain could be set up at higher temperatures and its thermal conductivity κ: scales with a power of the system size. On the other hand, the temperature gradient on the chain could not be set up at lower temperatures.
